In most cases it is a good idea to embed Google Analytics into the site to track traffic and it’s behavior.  Also, Google Webmaster Tools can be used to see your site through Google’s eyes, find any errors encountered when Google crawls your site, and view which of your pages are included in Google’s index.  These are just a couple of ways to find out where you stand.
